Ballinacree Historical Society

Ballinacree Historical Society was started in 1999 with an objective of collecting the history, heritage and folklore of the of Ballinacree area.

Irish Name: Bainne bó bleachtáin
Family: Primulaceae
Habitat: Pasture land
Uses: The flowers of this plant make a very good wine. The flower and root are used to make medicine.
