Meath Field Names Project

Members of Ballinacree Historical Society and other volunteers carried out the Fieldname survey of the Ballinacree area. This was part of an overall project to record all the old field names of County Meath with the support of  Meath I.F.A, Meath Archaeological & Historical Society and Meath County Library Service, and was assisted by funding from Meath Partnership. Bernard Smith was the co-ordinator for the Ballinacree area. Their efforts resulted in a book titled the Field Names of Meath.
